The Chairman, Governing Council, Delta State College of Health Technology, Ofuoma-Ughelli, Dr. (Pharm.) Nelson Ejakpovi has described the death of his father, Pa Moses Ejakpovi as a great loss to humanity.
Dr. Ejakpovi while speaking about the death of his father stated, “my brother, I have lost a disciplinarian, a confidant, a hardworking man but, what can we do? We cannot question God, he lived to 93 years and has served the nation and the community, Emevor meritoriously well.”
He added, “I lost my mother at the age of two and I can say that my father did his best as a man, he is survived by seven children, a lot of grand children and great-grand children, we thank God for the life he lived.”
According to Dr Ejakpovi who was still in morning mood, the burial ceremony for his father has been fixed for June 23 – June 25th, 2016 disclosing, “we have accepted the fact that our father has passed on, despite the pains, the family met and decided that Thursday, June 23 will be service of songs while internment will take place on Friday, June 24 and outing service on Sunday, June 26, 2016; he was a devout Catholic, so everything concerning the burial will be according to the dictate of the Church at Emevor, Isoko North local government area of Delta State.”
The maverick grassroots politician who has been active in the political scene for more than a decade took time off to thank members of the political class who have identified with him during this mourning period.
“Please, I want to specially thank my people, the politicians; from the day it happened, May 29th, 2016, as they were celebrating democracy day in Asaba, some persons took time off to join us at Emevor on that day and since then, politicians are always with me either physically or through telephone calls, it shows oneness, it shows love and I am proud to be a politician, I thank them for the show of love especially, those from Isoko federal constituency, I believe they will be around during the burial because, some are still coming to sign the condolence register,” he said.
