He described Okowa as a benchmark for outstanding achievements in the country.

“Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is a dogged politician imbued with inspiring developmental and intellectual zeal. He remains the measurement of positive leadership, courage, good governance, accountability and performance in the country” he said.

“As Speaker and Chairman of the House caucus, there was no meeting where the Honourable Members of the Delta State House of Assembly complained about the performance of the governor. The members are satisfied with the performance of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa” Igbuya told reporters in Asaba.

Igbuya who praised Okowa for his high level of transparency and accountability, stressed on the dwindling allocation to the states from the federal Government.

He attributed the paucity of funds in Delta State to the negative impact of series of oil pipeline bombing by the new militant group, the Niger Delta Avengers.

“Despite the lean purse of the state and the dwindling national economy, Delta State is up to date in its obligations to workers. Governor Ifeanyi Okowa places priority attention to the welfare of the entire work force in the state by ensuring regular payment to the civil servants.
