A frontline Rivers state politician and prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State, Chief (Barr.) Dumo Lulu-Briggs, has congratulated Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, representing Rivers South East and Senator Andrew Uchendu representing Rivers East Senatorial zones respectively, on their victories at the Court of Appeal Court, which upheld the earlier rulings of the Rivers State Election Tribunal on the legislative rerun elections held on 10th December, 2016 and confirmed their status as the duly elected Senators representing their zones in the Nigerian Senate.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement released in Port Harcourt by Chief Lulu-Briggs, who also felicitated with Hon. Chidi Wihioka, Hon Maurice Pronen, Hon. Azubuike Wanjoku, Hon. Josiah Orlu, Hon. Innocent Barikor and Hon Friday Nkeeh on their election victories, affirmed by the Appellate Court sitting in Abuja.
The APC Rivers chieftain, while celebrating with his victotious party members, noted that the wishes of the people of Rivers East and Rivers South East Senatorial Districts have finally been realized, adding that the APC legislators have the experience, temperament and influence to deliver on the mandates given to them by the people and attract development to their areas.
According to Lulu-Briggs, the Appeal Court rulings have not only restored the confidence of the people in the country’s judiciary, but have further confirmed the strength and predominance of APC in Rivers State.
He said: “I am grateful to God that your electoral victories have been justifiably affirmed in the sacred temple of Justice, considering that we live in a world where justice is hardly the privilege of the just.
“These victories at the Appeal Court in Abuja have proven that the APC holds the future for the people of Rivers State. These victories have once again proven the firm belief of Rivers people in the ability of the APC to deliver credible leadership and responsible representation,” Chief Lulu-Briggs averred.
The statement by the the top APC chieftain, which was issued by the DLB Media Team, on 24/08/17, further commended all other APC flag bearers who were not successful at the election petition tribunals, saying that they had fought a good fight.
Commending the Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, for his outstanding leadership and firm commitment in restoring APC to its glory in the state, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs said the APC is on course to taking over the seat of government in Rivers State in 2019.

I am overwhelmed with joy over the final and positive outcome of the judicial proceedings which have lasted several months now. By these victories at the Appeal Court, the strength and predominance of our party, the APC in Rivers State have been confirmed.
